CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects in SGPGI, said – today there are medical colleges in 64 districts of the state.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 7 development projects worth about Rs 1,143 crore for the expansion of health facilities at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI). On this occasion, MoU was also signed between Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow and Saloni Heart Foundation, California for the establishment of Saloni Heart Center of Excellence.

The Chief Minister said, today we have 64 districts where one or the other medical college is standing. We are moving rapidly towards 'One District-One Medical College'. As a result of the double engine efforts made by the government, we have succeeded in solving the problem of child-related encephalitis in Uttar Pradesh.

The center that will be built here will help the children here to get super specialty degree. All diploma courses will also be able to progress through this. The 36 bedded Pediatric Heart Center which was to be established in the first phase has been started.
