CM Yogi keeps a close eye on those who spoil the colors of Holi, alert in every district
After returning from the official trip to Japan and Singapore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is seen in full action mode. As soon as he returned to the state, he gave instructions to ensure timely payment of salaries of the employees. Also, in view of the festival of Holi, strict guidelines were issued to the officials regarding security and traffic arrangements.
Special campaign against vehicle drivers
The Chief Minister said in clear words that no carelessness will be tolerated on a big festival like Holi and maintaining law and order will be the top priority. In a high-level meeting held in his office, the Chief Minister directed the officials to keep a strict vigil on overspeeding, overloading and those violating traffic rules during the festival. A special campaign will be launched against those driving without helmet and seat belt. Apart from this, it has also been asked to ensure strict action against those who try to create ruckus or disturb peace in the name of the festival.
The Chief Minister has also given special instructions regarding transportation arrangements. He said that during Holi, full care should be taken for the convenience of passengers in buses going from Uttar Pradesh to major cities of other states. No roadways bus will operate without an electronic ticket machine. Special checking campaign will be conducted on major national and state highways and immediate action will be taken against vehicles violating the rules. Also, if action is taken against any bus, arrangements for alternative transportation to the passengers will also be ensured.
Instructions issued regarding buses
Two drivers will be mandatorily deployed in long distance buses, so that the possibility of accidents due to fatigue can be reduced. In view of the increasing number of passengers from 28 February to 9 March, instructions have also been given to run additional buses and increase the frequency of buses. Also, damaged or unfit buses will not be allowed to ply on the road.
The Chief Minister has also given instructions to run a special campaign against those who drink and drive. For this, testing will be done with the help of breath analyzer, so that immediate action can be taken against those driving under the influence of alcohol. Apart from this, a public awareness campaign will also be run by the transport department and administration to make people aware about traffic rules. The control room will remain continuously active during Holi and officials have been instructed to immediately resolve the complaints of the general public, so that the festival can be conducted in a peaceful and safe environment.
