A severe cold wave is occurring across North India. In Uttar Pradesh too, in view of the severe cold wave in all the areas of Western Uttar Pradesh, Central Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bundelkhand, the government has provided sufficient funds to all the district administrations to build Ren Basra buses in every district and distribute blankets etc. to the needy.
There is also adequate bonfire arrangement
I have also got the opportunity to inspect rain shelters in Transport Nagar and Dharamshala market area of Gorakhpur metropolis and distribute blankets to the needy. Bonfires are also being lit at public places inside the metropolis. There is also arrangement for adequate bonfire at 4 i.e. 480 places inside the entire city.
Woolen clothes distribution program also completed
So far, blanket distribution program and woolen clothes distribution program has been completed to more than 22,000 needy people in the city alone. This is all part of the government’s campaign of sensitivity towards the poor and the needy. And in the same sequence, today I have got the opportunity to visit the rain shelters inside Gorakhpur metropolis, observe how the system is being run there and get associated with this program of blanket distribution.
