Lucknow, 1 May. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated the ‘Shramveer Gaurav Samaroh 2026’ organized at Indira Gandhi Pratisthan in Lucknow. During this, he gave a message of strict stance regarding the rights of workers and said that no compromise will be made with the interests of workers. You will have to pay for your work, otherwise the government will treat such people.
Inauguration of ‘Shramveer Gaurav Samaroh 2026’, launch of many schemes
During the ceremony, CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many schemes related to labor welfare. Workers from different districts were honored by providing certificates and toolkits. Out of 75 workers selected from 75 districts of the state, five were honored on the stage by giving them a special toolkit. Apart from this, tablets were distributed to the meritorious students of Atal Residential Schools and principals of schools of Prayagraj and Jhansi were also honoured.

Uttar Pradesh has now become ‘Enterprise State’
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his address said that Uttar Pradesh is today becoming the growth engine of the country’s economy as an ‘enterprise state’. He said that between 1947 and 2017, about 14 thousand industries were established in the state, whereas since 2017, more than 18 thousand new industries have been established, which have provided employment to lakhs of youth.
Mention of Corona period and role of government
CM Yogi targeted the opposition while mentioning the Corona period. He said that during those difficult times when many people were inactive, the state government came forward and made special arrangements for the migrant workers. The workers were brought home through thousands of buses and free arrangements for food and accommodation were made for them. Besides, free ration was made available by making ration cards, which continues even today.

Emphasis on labor welfare and social security
The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working for the social and economic empowerment of the workers. Under the Ujjwala scheme, gas connections have been given to crores of families and a large number of people are also getting the facility of free ration. He also said that strict action is being taken against those who violate the rights of the poor.
Education, Government initiatives on health and housing
He informed that Atal Residential Schools are being run for the children of workers, where quality education is being imparted. Along with this, the foundation stone of a new composite school is being laid in Jewar (Noida). Under the health services, the poor are getting free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme and Ayushman cards are also being made for the remaining eligible workers.
Insurance protection to the families of deceased workers
Yogi Adityanath said that arrangements are being made to provide insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh to the families of the workers who died in the accident. Apart from this, housing has been provided to crores of people in the last years and cleanliness and standard of living has been improved by constructing a large number of toilets.
