Lucknow. The ongoing initiative of Yogi government regarding conservation of rivers in Uttar Pradesh has now become a national model. For the first time, any state has made such extensive use of high-tech river drone survey system in river conservation. Its impact was so effective that the Central Government has decided to implement the UP model in the entire country.

By completing the drone survey of about 150 km area of ​​Ganga, Yamuna, Gomti, Varuna and Pandu rivers, the State Clean Ganga Mission has added new energy to the efforts for river revival. The survey conducted in major cities like Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Kanpur has now made it easier to clearly identify the actual condition of the rivers, pollution sources and falling points of drains. Kanpur district is going to get the first biggest benefit of these efforts. After the drone survey, an action plan for zero discharge in rivers is being prepared. After its implementation, the rivers will get the status of zero discharge.

Rejuvenation of Gomti River will get a new direction

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s priority has always been that the rivers of the state should be completely clean and the local people should get direct benefits from it. According to this thinking, now identification of drains and pollution control has become easier. A complete revitalization action plan based on drone survey is being prepared for Lucknow city, which will give a new direction to the rejuvenation of Gomti River.

Project Director of State Clean Ganga Mission, Joginder Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, unprecedented work is being done for the conservation of rivers. He said that not only are the rivers being rejuvenated, but these efforts have also created new opportunities for cleanliness, employment and environmental protection in every village. The result of Yogi government’s public welfare policy and strong use of technology is that Uttar Pradesh has today become the leading state of the country in river conservation. With this the whole country is going to adopt the model of Uttar Pradesh.
