CM Yogi will campaign in Uttarakhand local body elections, BJP released the list of star campaigners

That is why CM Yogi is seen campaigning in every state of the country. Meanwhile, he will also be seen campaigning in his home state i.e. Uttarakhand. Actually, BJP has released the list of many star campaigners including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the upcoming local body elections in Uttarakhand. In which the names of CM Yogi and CM Dhami are mainly included.

The list of BJP's star campaigners includes BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, other cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Earlier, Uttarakhand State Election Commission informed that a total of 6,496 nominations have been received for the Municipal Local Body General Elections in Uttarakhand for the year 2024-25.

Nomination process started on 27th December
Let us tell you that the nomination process for the civic elections in the state started from 27 December 2024. According to State Election Commission data, 103 nominations have been filed for the post of city chief in municipal corporations, and 2,325 nomination papers have been filed for the role of councilor in municipal corporations. Additionally, 284 nominations have been received for the post of Chairman in Municipal Councils, while 1,922 nomination papers have been submitted for the role of Member in Municipal Councils.

Whereas for Nagar Panchayats, 295 nominations have been received for the post of President and 1,567 for the post of member. A total of 682 nominations have been filed for the posts of city chief or president and 5,814 nominations for councilor or member posts for various bodies.
Voting will be held on 23 January
Earlier on December 23, 2024, the State Election Commission officially announced the dates of Municipal Local Bodies General Elections for the year 2024-25, in which elections will be held for 11 Municipal Corporations, 43 Municipal Councils and 46 Nagar Panchayats across the State. . The Commission has set the polling date as January 23, 2025 and counting of votes will take place on January 25, 2025.
