CM Yogi's big order, said- Roads should be pothole-free before October 10, toll should not be collected on incomplete highways

New Delhi. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials to make the roads pothole-free before October 10. He said that every road in the state should be improved so that a person feels comfortable walking on it. Yogi said that every new road built should have a 5-year guarantee, if the road gets damaged, the construction agency itself should rebuild it. CM Yogi has clearly told NHAI that toll should not be collected on incomplete highways. There is no shortage of budget, just focus on good planning. Geo-tagging the pothole-free and reconstruction campaign, as well as link it to the PM Gatishakti Portal.

The CM directed the departments to give priority to mechanized road repairing instead of manual. The offices of the sugarcane committee should be upgraded on the lines of village secretariats. In fact, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to complete the special campaign to make the roads of the state pothole-free by October 10 in view of the upcoming festivals like Sharadiya Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. While holding a meeting with various departments on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that during festivals, the traffic in the state is more than normal. A large number of foreign tourists also come. It is the shared responsibility of all of us to make walking on the road a pleasant experience for every person. The work of pothole removal/road repair should be done with good quality.

While giving instructions to the Mandi Parishad, the Chief Minister said that farmers are the biggest consumers of roads. Special attention should be paid to the convenience of farmers. Roads should be built using the FDR method. Through this method, natural resources, money and time are saved and the quality of work improves.

Toll should not be collected until the construction of the highway is completed

He said that the repair and drainage work of all the roads under the Mandi Committee should be completed within the stipulated time. Special attention should be paid to quality. At the same time, while communicating with the officials of NHAI, the Chief Minister said that toll tax should not be collected until the construction of the highway is completed. Being aware of the departmental action plan for the Pothole Free Campaign, the Chief Minister directed that there is no shortage of budget for roads, it is necessary that all departments do better planning. He directed all the departments to ensure that the road construction agency / contractor will also take the responsibility of its maintenance for the next 05 years after the road is built. The rules and conditions should be clearly mentioned in this regard. The departmental minister and officers should conduct random visits to the field and review the construction projects weekly. Accountability for the work should also be fixed.

Emphasizing on mechanizing the work instead of doing it manually, the Chief Minister said that all departments should have adequate equipment for road repair. The process of repairing road patches should be done on auto mode. CM Yogi said that haphazard work done on roads can lead to accidents. After laying sewer lines and pipelines on roads, they should be repaired properly. High breakers on roads can lead to accidents. Therefore, table top breakers should be constructed on roads.

Geo tagging of pothole removal and reconstruction campaign

CM Yogi further said that geo tagging should be done for the campaign of pothole removal and reconstruction. It should be linked to the PM Gatishakti Portal, as well as its own portal should also be developed on the same lines so that continuous monitoring of the quality of work can be done. The work of repairing the expressway should also be taken forward, so that the movement of people can be smooth during festivals. Prepare an action plan for the repair of roads built under MP and MLA fund. At the same time, the buildings of sugarcane committee and schools should be repaired by the sugarcane department. The concept of village secretariats in the state has been accepted by the Central Government as a model. The offices of the sugarcane committee should be upgraded on the lines of village secretariats. Useful information should be displayed on the display board for the farmers and the queries of the farmers should be resolved.

A proposal should be prepared to provide facilities like drinking water, toilet, canteen etc. through CSR system in Mandi Samiti and industrial establishments at district headquarters. Women self-help groups should also be associated with this work. Availability of food at low price for farmers should be ensured through canteens in Mandis. Arrangements of CCTV, street lights and cleanliness etc. should be ensured for security in industrial establishments. The Chief Minister also said that the concept of smart road should be taken forward at prime locations in Nagar Panchayat, Municipal Corporation and Municipal Councils of all districts. Similar facade lights should be installed on smart roads. The Urban Development Department should also show uniformity in the facade lighting of cities. Urbanization is continuously expanding in the state. Illegal colonies should not be allowed to develop under any circumstances. Handover of new colonies should be done only after the availability of basic facilities like road, electricity, water etc.

Big responsibility to State Women Commission

Giving a big responsibility to the newly formed State Women Commission, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is going to be implemented in the country very soon. Through this, one-third of the total seats in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies will be reserved for women. In order to ensure that the women of the state get the real benefit of this, special efforts need to be made to develop leadership skills in them. The State Women Commission has a big role in the protection of women's interests and their welfare. The State Women Commission should prepare a detailed program for this.

In a special meeting with all the officials including the chairperson, vice-chairpersons and members of the newly formed State Women Commission on Tuesday, the Chief Minister also discussed the objectives, responsibilities, rights of the formation of the State Women Commission and gave necessary guidelines. Discussing the utility of the Women and Child Protection Organization, the Chief Minister said that important helplines like 1090, 181 and 112 have been integrated. Problems of women from all over the state are received here. The Women Commission should visit 1090 and understand the problems arising there. They should also give their suggestions to further improve the system of 1090. The Chief Minister also expected the Commission to provide guidance to self-help groups, Anganwadi, BC Sakhi from time to time. In the meeting, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials to provide all the necessary resources for the smooth functioning of the Commission.
