Coach raped minor hockey player in stadium bathroom, secret revealed after getting pregnant

Haryana: A very sad incident has come to light in Rewari district of Haryana which is shaking the sports world. Police have arrested a junior hockey coach for raping a minor player. The victim became pregnant, after which she had an abortion and the matter reached the police. Let us know what is the whole matter?

The incident happened in the stadium four months ago

The victim is a class 12 student and is a resident of a village. She plays hockey. In the complaint given to the police on January 9, he told that he had known the accused junior coach for three years. About four months ago, the coach raped her in the bathroom of the stadium. After this incident she became pregnant.

She had a miscarriage on 5 January. When his health deteriorated, the family admitted him to the hospital. When pregnancy was discovered during treatment, the family lodged a police complaint. Khol police station registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the accused junior coach on Friday.

Two days police remand to the accused

The police presented the accused in the local court, from where he was taken on police remand for two days. The investigating officers are inquiring whether the accused had committed similar acts before or whether there is another victim. Police spokesperson said that strict action is being taken against the accused.

Cases of sexual exploitation increasing in sports world

This case is not alone. Recently two big cases have also come to light in Faridabad. In one case, a shooting coach was accused of raping a minor shooter in a hotel, after which the coach was suspended. In the second case, another minor shooting player was raped in a hotel near Badarpur Toll.

During this time, the police arrested the victim’s friend and two other accused. Faridabad Police is now conducting raids in Mohali, Punjab and Haryana in search of a national level shooting coach, but the accused is still absconding.
