Coast Guard intercepts a suspicious boat with 9 Pakistanis

Bhuj, 1 January 2026: Indian Coast Guard has today foiled the bribery attempt of Pakistani citizens by taking a major action in the sensitive waters of Kutch. The soldiers patrolling the sea near the international waters have intercepted a suspicious Pakistani boat, in which 9 Pakistani citizens have been detained this morning.

According to sources, today on Thursday (January 15), when the Coast Guard was on routine patrol in the sea, he saw a boat entering Indian waters. The security personnel took immediate action and surrounded the boat and rounded up all the nine persons aboard it. Now this boat has been seized and brought to Jakhau shore. The people in the boat were revealed to be Pakistani citizens. The security agencies have intensified investigation into whether the captured Pakistanis had entered the Indian border on the pretext of fishing or whether their intention was to carry out espionage or other nefarious activities. Presently all these persons are being jointly interrogated by the Intelligence Bureau, Marine Police and Coast Guard.

It is worth mentioning here that exactly a month ago, i.e. on 13 December, a Pakistani boat was captured in a similar manner. Due to this second incident in a short period of time, security arrangements have been made very tight on the coastal strip and high alert has been declared in the entire area.
