Cobra Kai to end with final episodes in February 2025

Netflix has announced that Cobra Kaithe hit martial arts series, will conclude with its final episodes set to premiere on February 13, 2025. The series finale, dubbed The Finale Eventmarks the third and final part of the concluding season, with each part consisting of five episodes. Since its debut, Cobra Kai has rekindled the Karate Kid legacy, blending nostalgia with new characters and storylines, earning a devoted following.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Netflix hinted at the enduring appeal of the show, playfully noting, “We’re not good at goodbyes … because Cobra Kai never dies.” The sentiment reflects the lasting cultural impact the series has had, expanding the original Karate Kid narrative and introducing a new generation to the franchise.

The final installment arrives on the heels of Part 2which left fans stunned by the return of a major antagonist and a shocking tournament outcome that resulted in a fatality. The fallout from this dramatic twist is expected to drive the narrative of the concluding episodes, as the rivalry between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai reaches its ultimate resolution. Netflix teased that the characters will confront their pasts while facing an uncertain future, a journey nearly 40 years in the making since the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament.

Throughout its run, Cobra Kai has retained key figures from the original Karate Kid films while introducing new talent, creating an intergenerational story that resonates across audiences. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka have been at the forefront, reprising their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, while the series has steadily expanded its ensemble with characters both familiar and fresh.

Behind the scenes, the series has been shepherded by Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg through their production company Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett have served as executive producers under Westbrook Studios, with Sony Pictures Television also involved in the project. Macchio and Zabka have not only returned to their iconic roles but have taken on responsibilities as executive producers, ensuring the legacy of the Karate Kid franchise is preserved.
