New Delhi: The weather suddenly took a turn in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday evening and there was light rain in the city. After the rain, the phase of cold winds has started. According to the Meteorological Department, fog and cold will continue for the next few days. Along with this, the maximum temperature in the capital is likely to be 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 10 degrees Celsius.
How will be the weather of Delhi?
The Meteorological Department says that moderate to dense fog may occur in Delhi-NCR on January 17 and 18. The maximum temperature can go up to 19 degrees, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 7-8 degrees. Fog will reduce on January 19-20 and the temperature may reach 21 degrees. There is a possibility of light rain at night on 21 January.

Orange alert of dense fog has been issued in Punjab. There will be similar weather on January 17, while a yellow alert has been issued on January 18-19. The effect of fog will continue in Haryana also. There will be moderate fog in Chandigarh on Tuesday.

The weather will be clear in Jammu and Kashmir today. There may be snowfall in higher reaches and light rain in lower areas in Uttarakhand. Cold wave alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of dense fog for the next three days.
Chances of rain in UP and Bihar
In Uttar Pradesh, there may be rain and thundershowers in the western parts, while there are chances of light rain in the eastern parts. There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunder in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Kota divisions of Rajasthan. There will be dense fog in many areas of Bihar including Patna, Jehanabad, Siwan and Gopalganj and the cold will increase.
