Meteorologist HP Chandra has said that in the last 24 hours, except the central area, the mercury has dropped by one and a half to three degrees in the northern and southern parts. In the last 24 hours the minimum temperature of the state has gone below ten degrees. Ambikapur is the coldest, the temperature here has been recorded at 9.7 degrees. It is estimated that the cold will become stable after 23rd and 24th November. During this time, the wind direction will change and the temperature will increase slightly in the last week of the month.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Chhattisgarh may fall by 5-6 degrees in the next 5 days and cold wave may occur in Surguja division. At present the average temperature of the state is 13-16°C, which may reach 6-10°C next week. The cold is expected to increase at the end of November due to the influence of northern cold winds and western disturbance. The maximum temperature in Ambikapur has reached 26.9 degrees and the minimum temperature has reached 9.7 degrees. The minimum temperature here has dropped by 3.6 degrees from normal. In Pendra, Koriya and Narayanpur, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.9 degrees and the minimum temperature was 11.7 degrees.
