The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert today i.e. on January 18. There is a possibility of fog and mist at some places in the morning. IMD further said that the minimum temperature on Saturday is expected to be 7 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 19 degrees Celsius. IMD has predicted rain in the national capital on 22 and 23 January.
Temperature was below average
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.8 degrees Celsius on Friday, which was 1.2 degrees above normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 18 degrees which is 2 degrees Celsius less than normal. Strong cold wind continued to blow throughout the day on Friday. There was fog in the morning, but the weather cleared during the day. Dense fog blanketed parts of outer Delhi, reducing visibility and disrupting traffic.
