Mumbai: ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ is maintaining its strong position at the box office. Released on 27 February 2026, the film was slightly delayed in theaters due to legal complications. Its collection on the first day was only around Rs 75 lakh, but from the next day the audience’s interest started increasing and the film started performing better.
11th day collection of ‘The Kerala Story 2’
The film made a total net collection of Rs 22.34 crore in the first week. The film performed brilliantly in the second weekend also. It earned Rs 2.7 crore on 8th day (2nd Friday), Rs 3.75 crore on 9th day (2nd Saturday) and Rs 3.3 crore on 10th day (2nd Sunday). However, like every Monday, there was a slight decline in the collections on the 11th day, which is normal at the box office.
Total earnings in India in 11th day
According to Sacknilk report, the film collected around Rs 1.85 crore nett in India on the 11th day. The Hindi version had an average occupancy of 11.2% on the day, with a total of 3,004 shows running. With this earning, the total net earning of the film in 11 days has reached Rs 34.70 crore, while if we talk about the gross collection, this figure has reached Rs 40.61 crore in India.
Absence of big Hindi release
This performance deserves praise considering the film’s budget and initial difficulties. Like the first part ‘The Kerala Story’, this sequel has also attracted the attention of the audience despite the controversies. Its director is Kamakhya Narayan Singh, whose film stars talented actors like Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha and Aditi Bhatia. Despite good collections in the second weekend, the film has remained stagnant, and it is also benefiting from the absence of any major Hindi release.
Experts believe that if this trend continues, the film can easily enter the Rs 40 crore nett club and may prove to be profitable overall. ‘The Kerala Story 2’ has proved that if the subject is strong and the audience is interested, box office success is possible, even if it has a slow start. Cinema lovers are still going to watch the film in theatres, which shows its popularity. It will be interesting to create new records in the coming days.
