*Korba / Collector Ajit Vasant and Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari held a joint meeting of the officers of the Revenue and Police Department in the Collectorate hall regarding maintaining law and order in the district. He gave necessary instructions to the officers to keep a close watch on all the activities that disturb public peace in the district and to strictly follow the law and order for social harmony. On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Pratishtha Mamgai, Additional Collector Dinesh Nag, Additional SP U BS Chauhan, Neha Verma and other officers of the Revenue and Police Department were present. The Collector said that all officers should work with alertness and vigilance to maintain law and order and social harmony in the district. Keeping in mind the upcoming Panchayat elections in the district, he instructed the officers to identify the social problems of rural and urban areas and take action to resolve them as per the rules of the government. So that in future, there is no situation of any kind of disturbance of public peace. The Collector took information about the problems of law and order subdivision wise and asked the officers to be aware of the problems of their area. He also directed to find out the causes of disputes creating law and order problems and resolve them promptly.

The collector took the small and big incidents and law and order violations happening in the district seriously and instructed not to be negligent and take immediate action on it, so that no small incident can take a big form. He instructed the officers to keep an eye on sensitive matters and take immediate action. In the meeting, the collector said that strict action should be taken immediately to stop any kind of anti-social and illegal activities including illegal liquor sale, illegal scrap business, mineral excavation without permission, transport of slag. He asked to identify the problems of water, electricity, road, encroachment in rural and urban areas and solve them in time. The collector asked to provide immediate relief amount to the victims from CSR funds to solve the problem of lawlessness caused by road accidents.

For this, all SDMs were asked to submit proposals. To provide relief to the common people in elephant affected areas, compensation was asked to be provided as soon as possible. The Collector directed the Revenue Department and Police Administration to maintain mutual coordination and exchange information. He said that only if everyone cooperates with each other as a team, the problems will be solved quickly. In the meeting, the Superintendent of Police said that the coming time is challenging, everyone needs to work vigilantly. He said that controlling any kind of unconstitutional activities is the joint responsibility of all the officers. For this, all the officers should keep their information system active and strong. Pay special attention to any such anti-social activity that can affect the law and order. Also identify the persons involved in anti-social activities and collect their information. He asked all the SDMs, SDOPs and Tehsildars, Police Station Incharges to hold joint meetings on a weekly basis and discuss the problems. So that it is easy to face any incident and challenge.
