Combined Districts Team to tour Sri Lanka

The HCA initiative aims to nurture emerging district-level talent and strengthen grassroots cricket development in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has approved the Sri Lanka tour of the Combined Districts Team, providing a valuable opportunity for young cricketers from across Telangana to gain international exposure and experience overseas playing conditions.

The decision was taken following the recommendations of the Single Member Committee headed by Justice Naveen Rao and was subsequently approved by the Apex Council of the association.


The initiative aims to nurture emerging district-level talent and strengthen grassroots cricket development in Telangana.

The touring contingent will be accompanied by coach GS Raju, manager Chekuri Venkateswara Rao (secretary Khammam DCA) and observer C Srinivas (secretary Warangal DCA), who will oversee the team during the tour.

The squad for the tour includes: G Sai Krishna (Adilabad), A Rutwik Surya (Karimnagar), T Harsha Vardhan (Nizamabad), TVS Narayana Teja (Khammam), Md. Afridi (Medak), Md. Arfaz (Medak), V Vaishnav (Warangal), G Pavan (Warangal), Sk. Azhar (Khammam), Sk. Abdul Zeeshan (Nalgonda), T. Arun Kumar (Mahabubnagar), P. Lokesh (Khammam), D. Satwik (Karimnagar) and B. Bharat Reddy (Nalgonda). Coach: G. Ganesh (Mahabubnagar).
