Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) organized by 244 flight cadets including 29 women.
Hyderabad, December 13, 2025: Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) held for 244 flight cadets. Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) was organized today on December 13, 2025 at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, Hyderabad. The parade celebrated the successful completion of pre-commissioning training of flight cadets of flying and ground duty branches of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan was the reviewing officer (RO) of the parade and the graduating flight cadets of the 216th course were awarded the title by the Presidential Commission. A total of 244 flight cadets including 215 male and 29 female cadets graduated on this day.
The CDS was welcomed by Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command and Air Marshal PK Vohra, Commandant, AFA. General salute was given to the ROs by the parade and then march past was done.
On this occasion, six officers of the Indian Navy, eight officers of the Indian Coast Guard and two trainees from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were awarded ‘Wings’ for successfully completing the flying training. Five officers were awarded ‘Brevets’ for completing their navigation training. The proud family members of the graduating officers were present to witness the ceremony.

The main attraction of the parade was the ‘Commissioning Ceremony’ in which the graduating cadets were commissioned as Flying Officers by General Anil Chauhan. The graduating officers were made to take oath, where they pledged to protect the sovereignty and honor of the country. The graduation parade included a well-organized and synchronized flypast by Pilatus PC-7, Hawk, Kiran and Chetak aircraft. The exciting performance by Akash Ganga Team and Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT) enthralled the audience.
In recognition of his exceptional performance in various training streams, General Anil Chauhan awarded the prestigious ‘President’s Plaque’ and ‘Navanagar Sword of Honour’ to Flying Officer Tanishk Aggarwal of the Flying Branch for standing first in the order of merit in the Pilot Course. Flying Officer Saksham Dobriyal was awarded the ‘President’s Plaque’ for standing first in the order of merit in the navigation stream. Flying Officer Nitesh Kumar was awarded the ‘President’s Plaque’ for securing first position in the order of merit in the Ground Duty Branch.

Addressing the parade, General Anil Chauhan praised the newly commissioned officers for their clean turnout, precise movement of the drill and maintaining the highest standards of the parade. General Anil Chauhan congratulated the graduating officers for joining the arms profession and serving the motherland. He urged the officers to shun arrogance and ignorance and remain steadfast in matters of principle.
The parade concluded with the newly commissioned officers marching slowly in two columns on the Marshal Marching Sur and in a special emotional moment, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal AP Singh flew over and led the three aircraft Kiran formation above them while the first salute was given by his juniors.
