‘Come to Delhi and meet me…’, AAP MP got a call in the name of Amit Shah, what response did he get?
Raj Kumar Chabbewal is Aam Aadmi Party’s Lok Sabha MP from Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Friday (8th May) means today is his birthday. His fans are sending him congratulatory messages today. Many are congratulating Chabbewal on his birthday, many through phone calls.
Meanwhile, he received a fake call in the name of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. At first he thought the call was from Shah but later when he became suspicious, the AAP MP took the matter seriously and lodged a complaint with the police.

Investigation started after complaint
Investigation has been started after the MP’s complaint. Raj Kumar Chabbewal told that at around 8:45 am on Friday morning, a call came on his mobile phone from an unknown number. The person calling said that Home Minister Amit Shah wanted to talk to him. After this, another person on the phone, calling himself Amit Shah, congratulated him on his birthday and asked where he was at this time.
‘Asked to come to Delhi and meet’
Chabbarwal told that the caller while congratulating him on his birthday asked where are you today? On this he told that he is in Hoshiarpur. The AAP MP said, ‘He also told me that whenever I come to Delhi, I must meet him. I said, okay sir, thank you.

Complaint to Hoshiarpur’s SSP
He said, ‘I found that call a bit strange. First of all, whenever I get a call from any concerned ministry, they usually come on a landline. Secondly, the voice did not seem to be that of the Home Minister. Therefore, I have requested my Hoshiarpur SSP to investigate this call and take strict action accordingly.
According to police sources, investigation into the matter has been started after receiving the complaint. Efforts are being made to identify the person making the call and the number through technical investigation. Further action will be taken after the investigation is completed.
