Commencement of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan’s memory, music activities resume in Mumbai
‘Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Yadgar Sabha’, an organization established in 1971 to preserve the memory of the legendary singer of Hindustani classical music, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, is once again starting its musical activities. With this initiative, the great musical legacy of the maestro will be revived. A senior official of the trust expressed his happiness and said, “Due to various difficulties, we could not organize any programs in the last few years. However, now with the support of Grace Foundation, the musical legacy of the maestro will shine brightly again.” With this program, music lovers will once again get a chance to experience the melodiousness of classical music.

Born in Kasur in 1902, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan is considered the main pillar of the Patiala dynasty. Due to the ornamentation, depth of emotions and special style of tan-thumri in his singing, he created a distinct identity in his time. Although he passed away in 1968, his musical legacy is still revered today.
