Commercial LPG cylinder quota increased, know which sector will get how many cylinders in Delhi – Read
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that after the Central Government increased the quota of commercial LPG from 20% to 50%, the increased supply is being rapidly implemented at the ground level. Earlier, where earlier 1800 cylinders were being available per day, now it has increased to 4500 cylinders per day, due to which the needs of essential services, hotels-restaurants, small industries and migrant laborers will be met without any interruption and there will be no scope for any kind of shortage.
Under the new system, supplies have been divided into 7 major categories-
- Category 1: Essential services (schools, hospitals, bus stands, railways, airports) 225 cylinders (5%)
- Category 2: Government Institutions, PSUs, Industrial Canteens, Community Kitchens 225 cylinders (5%)
- Category 3: Hotels, Restaurants, Dhabas, Food Processing, Dairy 3,375 cylinders (75%)
- Category 4: Catering and Banquet 225 Cylinders (5%)
- Category 5: Small Industries (Dry Cleaning, Packing, Pharma) 45 Cylinders (1%)
- Category 6: Sports facilities, stadiums etc. 225 cylinders (5%)
- Category 7: Migrant laborers (5 kg cylinder) 684 cylinders (4%)
Supply is normal in Delhi
Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, I assure you all that the supply in Delhi is normal. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government is fully prepared to stop black marketing and hoarding. Our 70 teams are deployed on the ground and are continuously monitoring and strict legal action is being taken against those who break the rules.
