Complaint filed against Allu Arjun ahead of Pushpa 2 release—here’s why
While Allu Arjun and Pushpa 2 team are busy touring many cities to promote their upcoming movie, reportedly a complaint has been filed against the Pushpa 2 actor for misuse of the word ‘Army’ during one of the recent promotional events.
According to a report by NTV, a complaint has been registered at the Jawahar Nagar police station after Allu Arjun used the word ‘army’ to describe his fans at a recent event. The complaint reads, “It is highly objectionable that the actor his named his fan club after the honorable army that lays down its lives in the service of the nation.”
It is to be noted that while attending a promotional event in Kerala, Allu Arjun said on stage, “I call my fans ‘my army.’ You know who started this word army? My Kerala fans. It is from them that I got inspired to use it everywhere. Now all the fans call themselves ‘the army’ — it started in Kerala.”
The Pushpa 2 team were in Mumbai yesterday to promote their pan-India movie that will hit more than 12,000 screens across the world, as announced by the producers on Friday. The team has also planned a grand event in Hyderabad on Sunday, December 1.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is slated for a release on Thursday, December 5.
