Complete schedule of famous Holi of Mathura-Vrindavan released, know when which event will take place

Holi is a major and extremely popular festival of Sanatan Dharma, which is celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion throughout the country. This festival starts every year on the full moon day of Phalgun month with Holika Dahan and the next day Holi is played with colors.

In the year 2026, Holika Dahan will take place on March 3, while Holi of colors will be celebrated on March 4. Especially Holi of Mathura, Vrindavan and Barsana is famous not only in the country but also in foreign countries for its unique traditions and grand events.

Laddumar Holi

Laddumar Holi of Barsana is considered to mark the beginning of this festival. This time this event will be held on 25 February 2026 at Shri Radha Rani Temple. On this day, instead of colours, devotees express happiness by throwing laddus at each other. This tradition is considered to be related to the pastimes of Lord Shri Krishna and Radha Rani and with this, Holi festival begins in Braj region.

The next day, i.e. on 26 February 2026, the world famous Lathmar Holi will be played in Barsana. In this tradition, women symbolically kill men with sticks, while men try to protect themselves with shields. A large number of devotees and tourists reach here to see this unique Holi. Holi with flowers

Holi with flowers has special significance in the Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan. This year this event will be organized on 28 February 2026. On this day, along with offering colors to the Lord, flowers are showered on the devotees in the temple. This scene is very charming and becomes an occasion of spiritual bliss for the devotees. Rangbhari Ekadashi will also be celebrated on this day, which is an important part of Holi celebrations.

Apart from this, Chhadi Maar Holi will be organized in Gokul on March 1, 2026. This tradition starts after offering food to the Lord in Nand Bhavan. In this, sticks are used instead of sticks and devotees participate in this festival with traditional customs.
