Conch sound of 2027 assembly elections: Mayawati’s Brahmin card, bet on Ashish Pandey from Madhaugarh

Political activities have intensified regarding the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. in this order Mayawati Giving an initial indication of election preparations, Ashish Pandey has been declared in-charge of Madhogarh assembly seat of Jalaun district. According to the tradition of Bahujan Samaj Party, the party makes only the in-charges declared before the elections as candidates, hence it is being considered as the first possible candidate of BSP.
Political analysts believe that the BSP supremo has tried to give a big social and political message by putting the Brahmin face forward. This is being seen as the initial strategy of BSP for the 2027 elections.
Attempt to woo Brahmin voters
In recent times, Mayawati’s activism on issues related to Brahmin community has increased. It is believed that BSP is working on a strategy to reconnect Brahmin voters with itself. This step of the party is also being seen as an attempt to gain psychological edge over BJP, SP and Congress.
Social engineering formula of 2007
BSP is trying to repeat the social engineering formula adopted in the 2007 assembly elections. In that election, the equation of Dalit, Brahmin and Muslim voters gave complete majority to BSP.
In 2007, BSP had fielded Brahmin candidates on 86 seats, out of which 41 were won. The party is now once again hoping to return to power with the help of this social equation.

In the last election on Madhaugarh assembly seat Bharatiya Janata Party Moolchandra Niranjan of K had registered the victory.
Moolchandra Niranjan (BJP): 1,05,231 votes
Sheetal Kushwaha (BSP): 70,257 votes
Raghavendra Pratap Singh (SP): 63,035 votes
Margin of victory: 34,974 votes
Election contest will be interesting
After BSP putting forward Brahmin face, it will be interesting to see how BJP, Samajwadi Party and Congress respond to this strategy. At present, it is certain that even before the 2027 assembly elections, the chessboard of social equations has started being laid in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
