Everyone wants to celebrate the festival at home, but the number is so high that it becomes difficult to get tickets. However, there are some ways through which you can get a confirmed ticket and also book a Tatkal ticket. Although the number of Tatkal tickets is limited, but by taking care of some basic things, you will be able to book tickets on occasions like Diwali and Chhath.
Try these methods for Tatkal ticket:
You have to login to IRCTC website and after login you have to enter IRCTC user ID and password.
- If you don't have an account, you have to create an account.
- After this click on book ticket option.
- Here you have to select the Tatkal booking option and fill in the details like destination, date of travel, train number and class.
- Now fill the details like name, address, departure, phone number of the traveler.
- Now select birth preference also.
- Review, after which you will be redirected to the payment page.
- After payment, you will have an e-ticket, which will have to be downloaded.

It is worth noting that Tatkal train booking is done at 10 am for AC class and at 11 am for non-AC class, which is done just 1 day before the departure of the train. In such a situation, you should try to login to the website some time in advance.
