Sky Germany understands that RB Leipzig is neither in agreement with Nadiem Amiri nor are negotiations underway with Mainz.
This new information comes in stark contrast with that of BILD’s, who yesterday said the two parties had negotiated successfully.
However, so far, no offer has been formally sent to the Mainz, while Amiri is merely on an extended RB Leipzig transfer list.
While the 29-year-old is deemed an exciting player by the Saxony-based club, discussions have not taken off but could yet develop.
As it stands, Leipzig’s dream player as they look to the forward position remains TSG Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani.
For this transfer to be pulled off, the sale of Real Madrid-linked Yan Diomande for around €120million would be hugely significant.
