chhath puja 2024:Chhath Puja, the great festival of sun worship, is starting this time from 5th November 2024. Which will end on 8th November. This festival is celebrated with great pomp all over India. Especially, it is celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand and surrounding areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
But, now people of Indian origin have started celebrating Chhath festival both in the country and abroad. Chhath is also known as Surya Shashthi. Because, along with Sun God, Goddess Shashthi is also worshipped.
Chhath begins with Nahay Khay and the festival ends with Usha Arghya. It is a religious festival which strengthens family relationships, brings loved ones closer and connects them with nature. Chhath Puja 2024 on this day
According to the Panchang, Chhath Puja starts from the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. At the same time, this great festival ends on Saptami Tithi. In such a situation, this festival will run from 5th November to 8th November.
nahay khay 2024
Chhath Puja starts with Nahay-Khay. People fasting on this day eat food only once. On this day, sunrise will be at 6:39 am and sunset will be at 5:41 pm.
Kharna 2024
The second day of Chhath Puja is called Kharna. On this day, offerings are made to Chhathi Mata at home. Special care is taken of purity while making this offering. Sweet rice and bottle gourd khichdi are eaten in the evening
Chhath Puja Arghya
Arghya is offered to the Sun God in the evening on the third day of Chhath Puja. During this, fruits, sugarcane, rice laddu, thekua and other ingredients are kept in bamboo soup and worshiped while standing in water. Let us tell you that on the third day i.e. on 7th November, sunset will happen at 5.29 pm.
Usha Arghya 2024
Usha Arghya: Chhath festival ends with Usha or Udayagami Arghya.
On the last day i.e. 8th November, sunrise will be at 6.37 am. On this day, Arghya is offered to the rising Sun God. In the evening Arghya, Arghya is offered by circling Jin soup and Daura. The same soup and daura prasad are offered in Usha Arghya.
After Usha Arghya, the devotees break the 36-hour fast by taking the Prasad of Chhath Puja. Chhath prasad is also distributed among the devotees and family members with gratitude and goodwill
