The genie of Delhi's liquor scam enters Kerala too, Congress cornered Vijayan government

Kochi: Assembly elections have been announced in Delhi. Propaganda is in full swing. The liquor policy scam in Delhi is once again in the news. The Vijayan government of Kerala has given permission to a company involved in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam to manufacture liquor in a district. After this, the opposition is continuously raising questions on the Pinarayi Vijayan government of the state.

Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly V D Satheesan on Saturday criticized the Left Front government in the state for giving permission to 'Oasis Commercial Pvt Ltd', a company embroiled in Delhi's liquor policy scam, to manufacture liquor in Palakkad district. He alleged that the project violates the government's new liquor policy.

Company owner arrested

VD Satheesan said that this company had purchased land in Palakkad two years ago to establish a college. Its owner was arrested in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam. Satheesan raised the question why the government held secret discussions with the company? Why were others kept out of this process?

Drinking water needs at risk

Highlighting the groundwater shortage in Palakkad, Congress leader Satheesan accused Excise Minister MB Rajesh of endangering the drinking water needs of his district by promoting the liquor manufacturing project. He alleged that the Excise Minister's statement on this matter is absolutely false.

No differences with Ramesh Chennithala

Congress leader Satheesan said, “The minister is trying to create the impression that there is a rift between me and Ramesh Chennithala. However, it is not so.” “If any disagreement arises, we will resolve it through dialogue,” he said. He said that Congress will launch a big movement against this project.
