Congress gave a big blow to RJD, Radha Krishna Kishore joins Congress, can be a candidate from Chhatarpur.

Ranchi: No decision has been taken yet on seat sharing in the India alliance regarding the assembly elections. Meanwhile, Congress gave a big blow to RJD on Tuesday. Former MLA and RJD leader Radha Krishna Kishore joined Congress on Tuesday. Radhakrishna Kishore took membership of Congress in the presence of Congress State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Congress Legislature Party leader Rameshwar Oraon, Minister Banna Gupta.

Jairam Mahato has released the third list of candidates, see who has become the JLKM candidate.
As soon as Radha Krishna Kishore joined Congress, it became clear that he can be the Congress candidate from Chhatarpur assembly seat. This means that under the alliance, Chhatarpur seat is going to Congress instead of RJD. In the 2019 elections, Chhatarpur seat was with RJD under the alliance and Vijay Ram was made the candidate from this seat. Radha Krishna Kishore had contested the 2019 elections as a candidate of AJSU Party and stood at number three. BJP's Pushpa Devi had won this seat.

RJD was till now claiming the Chhatarpur seat in the 2024 elections. Mamta Bhuinya from RJD was considered a contender for this seat. Although RJD had made him a candidate during the Lok Sabha elections, he was defeated badly. With Radha Krishna Kishore joining Congress, there are clear indications that Congress has snatched the Chhatarpur seat from RJD. For the last four days, the tussle over the seat is going on between RJD-Congress and JMM. RJD is claiming 12 seats while it is being said that it will be given seven seats under the alliance. With Radha Krishna Kishore joining Congress, the tussle over the seat may increase further.
