Congress leader Sandeep Dixit said that my opinion is that he does not understand much about things. If someone wants to take a side without understanding, he should not be taken seriously. In my view, Tharoor’s understanding and comments on this issue do not seem like that of a serious person. He said that if we keep accepting things silently, exceptions will become the rule. In Venezuela, America had kidnapped its President from within the country’s borders. In Iran they assassinated the country’s supreme leader. If we remain silent on such incidents then who will stop America from doing the same in other places. It is not the duty of any country to interfere in the affairs of another country, whether there is democracy there or not. The Congress leader further argued that in some circumstances the neutrality of countries could prove harmful. Dixit said that every country takes care of its interests. However, some larger principles also work and if you do not take any side, there comes a time when Hitler ruled.
