Know what is 'Modani Ecosystem', why Congress is angry, party leader Jairam Ramesh has made a big demand

New Delhi : Congress launched a major attack on the Modi government on Wednesday. Also said that 'Modi system' has left a big legal gap in the case of Adani Group, whereas the major agencies of the country should investigate this matter. Congress party general secretary Jairam Ramesh also said that the opposition will continue to raise the issue in Parliament. At the same time, he will try to get his demands met by the government in the matter.

Adani Group company Adani Green Energy Ltd on Wednesday said billionaire Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani have not been charged with violating the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in an alleged bribery case. The company also says he has been charged with securities fraud, which includes imposing monetary penalties.

Congress Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said-
“It is not surprising that 'Modani Ecosystem' has left a big legal hole this morning. At a time when they are facing serious action being taken in other countries, and they can neither intimidate nor destroy those mechanisms, then 'Modani Ecosystem' is trying to compensate for the loss by denying “

He claimed that this ridiculous attempt cannot diminish the seriousness of the allegations made by the US agencies. Ramesh said, ''There is no denying the fact that the US Justice Department's indictment clearly states that “Gautam S. Adani, Sagar R. Adani and others conspired to offer, authorize, and solicit bribes to officials of the Government of India.” A plan was hatched to give and promise (bribes).”

“As a matter of law, ED, CBI and SEBI should actively investigate these revelations. Instead of acting as tools of a corrupt political-business nexus, their job is to fulfill their responsibility towards the nation.”

He said that it is time to fulfill our responsibilities towards our institutions and the Indians holding important positions in them. History will neither forgive nor forget this moment.

Ramesh emphasized this point, “As far as we are concerned, we will continue to raise these issues with Parliament and the people.”

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet told reporters, “Our demand is that there should be an impartial investigation and arrest of Adani, who has embezzled crores of rupees and given bribes, there should be a detailed discussion in the Parliament on the allegations against Adani and our investigating agencies and SEBI should investigate these allegations impartially.”

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said that BJP and its ministers should stop defending Adani. Also, major agencies of the country should investigate this matter, so that the country can know the truth.
