Congress throws out ‘cheating’ candidates in MLC elections
Congress candidates withdrew their names from the elections. Because of him the Mahayuti candidates won. Now Congress has thrown out both the leaders. This is an official letter from Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. In this, information has been given about the cancellation (expulsion) of the membership of a person named Shailesh Aggarwal from the Congress Party.
Congress has expelled Shahebrav Kamble and Shailesh Aggarwal from the party. Both the leaders were fielded by Congress from Yavatmal and Chandrapur Legislative Council seats. The candidates withdrew their names, the effect of which was that Mahayuti candidates won unopposed on both the seats. The Congress party has said that both the leaders have kept the Congress leadership in the dark.

Shailesh Aggarwal had sought ticket from the Congress party for the Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli Legislative Council (MLC) elections. Sahebrao Kamble had presented his claim from Yavatmal. The Congress leadership had also decided to make him a candidate. But later both withdrew their candidature.
What steps has Congress taken now?
Congress has expelled both Shailesh Aggarwal and Sahebrao Kamble from the party. Giving the reason for the expulsion, Congress has said that the candidates kept the party leadership in the dark and created problems. Congress has termed it as indiscipline.

Party canceled primary membership
Both the leaders have been suspended on the instructions of Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal. Now his party membership has also been terminated.
What happened after taking the names of the candidates?
Mahayuti candidate Dushyant Chaturvedi from Yavatmal was elected Legislative Council member unopposed. BJP’s Arun Lakhani had contested from Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli. He also won.
