How big a challenge is this alliance for BJP?
Congress last came to power in 2012 with the help of an alliance. After that Congress never came to power. BJP strengthened its roots since 2012. The voter base of Congress became weaker year by year. Now Congress is busy strengthening its roots with the help of Goa Forward.

What difficulties may increase?
The possible alliance between Congress and Goa Forward Party may increase problems for BJP. Experts say that with this alliance, the scattering of opposition votes will stop, because earlier BJP used to benefit from the distribution of votes among Congress, GFP, AAP and RGP. Now if this contest happens then the public will get an alternative against anti-incumbency.
Where Catholic and regional voters are in a strong position, problems may increase for BJP. In the 2022 assembly elections, the total vote share of the opposition was more than that of BJP. Now new changes can be seen on the ground.
