Ranchi: Congress will contest Jharkhand Assembly elections in alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the final decision on seat sharing is expected soon. Ghulam Ahmed Mir said, “Like 2019, we will contest the assembly elections with our alliance partners in the state. The seat sharing has almost been finalized and a final decision on it is expected soon. We will release the first list of candidates after October 19, especially after our leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state.

Mir, who arrived here earlier in the day, said the party is confident of winning the elections on the strength of the development work done by the JMM-led coalition government in the state. Jharkhand Congress in-charge Mir said that Rahul Gandhi will hold a meeting with various social and other organizations including SC/ST and OBC on October 19.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has already announced that the J-led alliance will contest all 81 seats.
