‘Conspiracy being hatched against me’, Congress leader Pradeep Yadav said on audio-video leak issue

After the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party, the controversy over the audio-video leak issue is increasing in the party. Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav has said in the entire episode that the same people who were trying to break Birsa Congress and MLAs are conspiring against him.

He described this entire episode as a well-planned conspiracy. He said that ever since he joined the Congress, a special lobby has been continuously trying to defame and stop him. He alleged that the same lobby was also opposing his joining the party.

Pradeep Yadav made it clear that he will not shy away from raising questions related to public interest and as long as he is alive, he will stand strong as the voice of the public.

A wrong narrative is being created against him on the basis of CCTV footage. He has clarified that this video is of around 11 am on December 10, when there is regular presence of MLAs, media and administrative personnel in the Assembly complex.

This is not a secluded or secret place, but the area in front of the same gate, through which all the MLAs travel daily. On the basis of this public CCTV footage, his image is being harmed by making allegations unilaterally without knowing his side, which is not only unfortunate but also painful.

He clearly said that the claim that he was handing over a pendrive to Babulal Marandi is completely false, baseless and imaginary. It can be clearly seen in the video that the conversation between the two was taking place regarding a news. He himself was going to raise the said issue in the Assembly, but Babulal Marandi had already raised it in the House.

The conversation took place in broad daylight in the public corridor of the Assembly. He had a mobile phone and a newspaper in one hand, while a handkerchief in the other. CCTV cameras, media, police and employees were present all around. He raised the question that if there was any improper intention, would this have been done in such a public place, the footage of which would have surfaced the very next day?

Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi also denied receiving any pendrive from Pradeep Yadav. He said that there is hardly any MLA in the Assembly who does not know me and does not talk to me. He said that he will not tell the name. But the evidence I have has come from some colleagues in the media only.
