The team of Cyber ​​​​Crime Police Station Commissionerate Prayagraj has arrested an accused who was tarnishing the image of the police and saints by spreading AI-generated misleading content and factless videos on social media.

According to the police, in view of Magh Mela-2026, strict monitoring was being done on social media platforms. Meanwhile, information about broadcast of misleading, factless and negative content created through AI technology through Facebook profile Deepak Mukesh Tiwari came to light. Through these posts, the image of Magh Mela is tarnished as well as in the society.

Efforts were being made to spread anger, fear and animosity, due to which the peace and order was likely to be affected. After investigation, the police arrested the accused Deepak Kumar Tiwari alias Mukesh Kumar Tiwari, resident of Lakhanpur, Police Station Meja, Commissionerate Prayagraj, aged about 39 years, on 22 January 2026, near Nand Kishore Inter College, village Lakhanpur. An Apple mobile phone has also been recovered from the possession of the accused, which was being used to disseminate misleading content.

The joint team of Meja Police Station, Cyber ​​Crime Police Station and Cyber ​​Cell Prayagraj was involved in this entire action.
