Constitution in hand, Kerala saree and oath taking in Hindi, this is how Priyanka Gandhi entered parliamentary politics.

Delhi: Newly elected Congress MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached Parliament and took oath. She entered the Parliament premises wearing a traditional Kerala saree. Priyanka Gandhi was active in politics in Amethi and Rae Bareli but for the first time she has reached Parliament House as an MP.

In the Lok Sabha, Priyanka Gandhi took oath in Hindi with the Constitution book in her hand. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla administered the oath. Priyanka Gandhi's son Rihaan and daughter Miraya also reached Parliament House. It is noteworthy that Priyanka Gandhi has won the Wayanad by-election by more than four lakh votes. Priyanka Gandhi contested the election after Rahul Gandhi vacated this seat.
