The officers themselves are not able to understand how to implement this rule, whereas the rule was made by the Chief Engineer himself, no tender will be invited in anticipation of acceptance, but in anticipation of acceptance, the department has started issuing tenders. The officers who make the rules are the ones who are flouting the rules.
While addressing the dharna, Senior Vice President Ravindranath Mishra, Jaisram Chaudhary, Guddu Pandey, Ajmat etc. said that for the solution of the problems, the problems of the contractors were sent to the government administration through many letters, but till now no solution has been found by the department. Drains should be constructed in markets and towns, new policy regarding flood affected roads should be given for loan and 25 percent should be given for the maintenance of roads like it is being given on the roads under Pradhan Mantri Yojana. Srivastava, Dina Verma, Ghanshyam Gupta, Sanju Pandey, Rakesh Pandey, Rajesh Singh, Babbal, Shatrughan Pal, Ramchandra Singh along with many contractors were involved.
