Now the first reaction of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also come out on this entire matter.
Actually, the ownership company of Sunrisers Hyderabad has also bought a team in The Hundred League, whose name is Sunrisers Leeds. In the auction held for the next season, the team added Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed. According to reports, the team has spent more than Rs 2 crore to buy this player. BCCI Secretary Rajiv Shukla gave clarification
BCCI Secretary Rajeev Shukla, while giving his reaction on this entire controversy, clearly said that whatever happened in The Hundred has nothing to do with IPL. Talking to the media, he said that this is England’s league and BCCI cannot interfere in the decisions of the teams there.

Increased discussion before IPL 2026
Although BCCI has described it as a separate matter from IPL, but this issue is becoming increasingly discussed on social media. Not even 24 hours have passed since Abrar Ahmed was bought and many reactions are coming to this decision. It is believed that this dispute may increase further in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the IPL 2026 season is going to start from March 28. The first match of the tournament will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This match will be held in Bengaluru. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether this controversy impacts the team or the atmosphere of the upcoming matches or not.
