Cooper Flagg amazed by Jokic: “It looks like he’s not even trying”
Nikola Jokic’s performance against the Dallas Mavericks left even those on the court in disbelief. Among them was Cooper Flaggwho perfectly summed up the feeling shared by many in his postgame comments.
The Denver Nuggets big man finished with 23 points, 21 rebounds, and 19 assistsnarrowly missing out on a triple-double that would have been the stuff of legend. Numbers that only partially capture his impact – the real impression was something else: total control, without any visible effort.
At times it looks like he’s not even trying. And then he ends up with a 20/20/20. It’s incredible… it’s crazy to experience all of this firsthand on the court
Cooper Flagg
Flagg, who put together a solid 26-point performance himself, openly acknowledged how difficult it is to read and contain such a unique player. Jokic dictated the pace, punished every defensive rotation, and created offense with disarming ease.
In Denver’s win – also fueled by Jamal Murray’s 53-point explosion – the Serbian star once again showed his special dimension: a talent capable of making the extraordinary look almost routine on the court.
