Filmmaker accused of copying

Filmmaker Santosh Kumar claimed in a press conference that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is similar to the story of his 2023 film ‘D Saheb’. He says that he had already registered his script with the Screenwriters Association, but the makers made changes in it and made their film. After this allegation, there was a stir in the industry and questions were raised on the originality of the film.

Was legal notice sent?

According to reports, taking these allegations seriously, director Aditya Dhar has sent a legal notice to Santosh Kumar. In this they have been asked to stop making such baseless claims. However, Santosh Kumar’s claim is something else. According to him, he did not receive any official legal notice, but only received a reply through e-mail. He said that the makers are pressurizing him not to complain, whereas he is ready to take the matter forward legally.

Makers’ response: Allegations are completely baseless

Sources associated with the film have completely rejected these allegations. He says that the story of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is completely original creation of Aditya Dhar. According to sources, Aditya Dhar registered his script in September 2023, while Santosh Kumar registered his script in November 2023. In such a situation, the allegation of copying is being said to be factually wrong.
