Could Klopp replace Nagelsmann? Germany job rumours gather pace

Rumours have emerged suggesting that Jürgen Klopp could be in contention to become the next manager of the Germany national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to a report from German outlet BILD, the former Liverpool FC manager is among the names being considered should the national team decide to make a managerial change in the coming months. However, the report stresses that this remains speculation at this stage and no official discussions have been confirmed.

Germany are currently managed by Julian Nagelsmann, who took over the national side following the dismissal of Hansi Flick in 2023. Nagelsmann was initially appointed to stabilize the team ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024 on home soil. While his tenure has included promising performances, uncertainty reportedly remains about the long-term direction of the national team.

Klopp, meanwhile, stepped away from club management after ending his highly successful spell with Liverpool. The German tactician spent nearly nine years at Anfield, winning multiple major honours including the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League title. His charismatic leadership and attacking philosophy made him one of the most respected coaches in world football.
