The country's first CNG scooter has arrived, know what is special in this new TVS Jupiter?

Obnews Automobile Desk: Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 has started with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, TVS introduced its new Jupiter CNG scooter. This scooter will bring a new revolution in the Indian two-wheeler market. Till now only CNG bikes were available, but this is the first scooter in the country that will run on both CNG and petrol.

The design of TVS Jupiter CNG is similar to this 125 cc petrol model, but some special changes have been made in it keeping CNG in mind. It has a 1.4 kg CNG tank and a 2 liter petrol tank.

How much distance will 1 kg CNG cover?

The company says that this scooter will give a mileage of 84 km in 1 kg CNG. Along with this, TVS Jupiter CNG will be able to run up to 226 km once the tank is full.

TVS Jupiter CNG powertrain

If we talk about powertrain, Jupiter CNG has been given an OBD2B compliant engine. It has a 125 cc bio-fuel engine, which gives power of 5.3 kW at 600 rpm and torque of 9.4 Nm at 5500 rpm.

Top features of Jupiter CNG

New and smart features have been provided in Jupiter CNG. It has features like LED headlights, USB charger, stand cut-off and Bluetooth connectivity. This scooter has been specially designed for eco-friendly and fuel-saving.

The possible price of Jupiter CNG could be this much

Currently, the price of TVS Jupiter 125 petrol version ranges between Rs 88,174 to Rs 99,015 depending on the variant. It is believed that its new CNG version will also be launched in the same range i.e. between Rs 90,000 to Rs 99,000. However, due to the presence of a CNG tank in it, the boot space may be slightly less.
