Country’s legendary shooter Jaspal Rana dies at the age of 49
New Delhi. Famous Indian shooting coach Jaspal Rana passed away on Friday. Rana is a former Asian Games gold medal winner and has been the coach of star shooter Manu Bhaker, who has won a medal in the Olympics twice. Rana has died at the age of 49. It is being told that after returning from Germany, his health suddenly deteriorated and he was admitted to the hospital. However, the reason behind his demise has not been revealed yet.

Rana had returned from Germany after the ISSF World Cup in Munich. He was currently working as the High Performance Coach of Indian Pistol Shooters. The Indian team had performed brilliantly in this tournament and won two gold and as many silver medals. A source in the Railways Association of India (NRAI) said, yes, Jaspal was facing some problems in the flight and after landing in Delhi, he went straight to the hospital. There, he was tested and a stent was inserted.

NRAI had officially appointed him as the high-performance coach for the 25m pistol event. Rana is credited with introducing a rigorous training routine. His achievements on the shooting range earned him considerable recognition and inspired a generation of young shooters to take up the sport.
