CPM MP comments on ‘The Kerala Story 2’, no demand for ban

Mumbai। recent movie Kerala Story 2 The political uproar regarding this has intensified. John Brittas Terming it as “propaganda”, it said its aim is to promote communal polarization ahead of the elections. However, he did not support banning the film.

cpm Rajya Sabha MP Brittas said that the film is an attempt to damage the social image of the state. “It is a propaganda film. Instead of watching it, people should reject it,” he said.

Brittas told that the first part The Kerala Story There was no restriction on it, but it did not get widespread acceptance. He said that the success of the film was exaggerated and talked about its political use.
BJP accused of election strategy
Brittas linked the issue to the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying it was part of an effort to build a political base in the state. He also raised questions about whether the BJP would openly hold its position on controversial issues.
Objections expressed on some scenes
He objected to a scene in the film’s promotional video in which a woman is allegedly forced to eat beef. He says that this is misrepresenting the pluralistic culture of the state.
Questions on censorship process and social impact also
Brittas also raised questions on the film certification process and warned that quick approval of such films could lead to divisive debate in the society. He said that the conscious people of Kerala will not accept such efforts.
