After registering a historic win in the T20 World Cup 2026 on the ground of Ahmedabad, the superstars of Team India are now ready for their next mission. In the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) starting from March 28, the world champion players will take the field in the jersey of their respective franchises. Looking at the excellent form of the World Cup, it is believed that this time the excitement of IPL is going to double. In such a situation, in this IPL, there will be more focus on those players who have led the team to victory with their performance in the T20 World Cup 2026.

 

The players who impressed the world with their performance in the World Cup will now prove to be trump cards for teams like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. All the franchises are now making strategies around their star players and hoping to convert the confidence of the World Cup win into the IPL title.

  • Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson got to play only 5 matches in T20 World Cup 2026. But he showed his talent in those 5 matches. Samson scored 321 runs in these 5 matches at an average of 80.25, which includes three half-centuries. With this he became India’s highest run scorer in the tournament. It is to be noted that ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Chennai Super Kings acquired Sanju Samson from Rajasthan Royals in a trade deal for Rs 18 crore.
  • Ishan Kishan: In the T20 World Cup 2026, Ishan Kishan scored 317 runs in 9 matches at an average of 35.22, which included three half-centuries. With this, he became the second highest run scorer for India in the tournament. It is to be noted that Ishan Kishan has been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2026.
  • Abhishek Sharma: Abhishek Sharma did not perform well in the T20 World Cup 2026 but he crossed the 50-run mark every time he scored in the tournament. Therefore, it is expected that he will remain in form in IPL 2026 also. Abhishek Sharma is a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team.
  • Suryakumar Yadav: Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 242 runs in 9 matches at an average of 30.25, including a half century, in the T20 World Cup 2026. Due to which he became India’s third highest run scorer in the tournament. Yadav is part of the Mumbai Indians team.
  • Shivam Dubey: Shivam Dubey took over whenever the Indian batting faltered in the T20 World Cup 2026. He also scored a half-century in the tournament. It is worth noting that Shivam Dubey has been retained by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2026.

These bowlers will create havoc

  • Jasprit Bumrah: Jasprit Bumrah became the highest wicket taker in T20 World Cup 2026. Bumrah has taken 14 wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 6.21. If his form continues then it will be difficult for the batsmen of other teams in IPL 2026. Jasprit Bumrah is a part of Mumbai Indians team.
  • Varun Chakraborty: Varun Chakraborty has also taken 14 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2026. He has also become the bowler taking the most wickets in the tournament. It is worth noting that Varun Chakravarthy has been retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2026.
  • Arshdeep Singh: Arshdeep Singh was not very effective in T20 World Cup 2026. Although he took 9 wickets in this tournament. He is a part of Punjab Kings team.

Will face competition from these all-rounders

  • Tilak Verma: Tilak Verma scored 207 runs in 9 matches in T20 World Cup 2026. However, he did not get a chance to bowl. Keep in mind that Tilak Verma will be seen playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026.
  • Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya scored 217 runs and took 9 wickets in 9 matches in T20 World Cup 2026. As always, he emerged as a tremendous all-rounder in this tournament. Pandya will also be seen captaining Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026.
  • Akshar Patel: Indian T20 team vice-captain Akshar Patel won everyone’s hearts in the T20 World Cup 2026. He took 11 wickets in 7 matches in the tournament, making him the third highest wicket taker for India this season. Like last season, Axar Patel will be seen captaining Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026.
