Auto Desk. Hyundai is ready to make a splash with its latest models at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This time the company will showcase its much-awaited Staria MPV, Creta Electric, and Ioniq 9.
Staria MPV: First glimpse in India
The Staria MPV, which is considered to be Hyundai's counterpart to the Kia Carnival, will be introduced in the Indian market for the first time. However, it is not likely to be launched soon.
The design of Staria is different from traditional MPVs. Its van-like silhouette, high stance, and pixel-inspired lighting give it a futuristic look. After the global launch in 2021, this model has become the talk of the town in India.
Its key features include a wide grille, vertical LED headlights, and full-length LED DRL strip. In the high-end variant, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and brass chrome accents give it a premium finish. The interiors include a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, ambient lighting, and reclining seats with “relaxation mode”. In terms of safety, it has been provided with features like six airbags, forward collision avoidance assist, and rear occupant alert.
Creta Electric: Highlight of the show
Hyundai's popular SUV, Creta Electric, is scheduled to be launched on January 17, 2025. Its design with pixelated graphic grille, integrated charging port, and attractive LED tail lights make it modern and stylish.
It will be available in two battery variants – 51 kWh and 42 kWh. The 51 kWh variant will give ARAI certified range of 473 km and power of 169 bhp. It will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Whereas, the 42 kWh variant will give a range of 390 km and 133 bhp power.
Ioniq 9: Hyundai's flagship model
Hyundai will also showcase its premium three-row SUV Ioniq 9. It is based on the E-GMP platform and has a 110.3 kWh battery, which offers a range of 620 km as per WLTP. With fast charging capability, it can complete 10-80% charging in just 24 minutes.
Hyundai's new strategy
