Cricket greats will be honored in Naman Award 2026, Lifetime Achievement will be given to Rahul Dravid and Roger Binny.

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is once again going to organize its prestigious Naman Awards Ceremony 2026 to honor the players and new talents who have made outstanding contributions to Indian cricket. This special event will be held on March 15, 2026 in New Delhi, where many great personalities and rising stars of the cricket world will be honored for their excellent performance. In this ceremony, special awards will also be given to players who have played an important role in the history of Indian cricket.

This year’s biggest honor went to Colonel C.K. Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to two great players. Former Indian cricketer and World Cup winning captain Roger Binny will be honored with this award. Along with this, India’s great batsman and successful coach Rahul Dravid will also be honored with this prestigious honour. Both the players have contributed significantly in taking Indian cricket to new heights with their game and experience. This is the reason why BCCI has selected him for this honour.

Mithali Raj honored in women’s cricket

Former captain Mithali Raj, who has performed brilliantly for a long time in women’s cricket, will be given the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award. Mithali Raj led the Indian women’s cricket team for many years and made many big records in international cricket. Because of her contribution, women’s cricket in India got a new identity and also inspired many young players.

International Player of the Year

Players who have performed well in the 2024-25 season will also be honored in this ceremony. Indian Test and ODI team captain Shubman Gill has been selected as the best international male cricketer under the Polly Umrigar Award for the second time. Smriti Mandhana, who has performed brilliantly in women’s cricket, will be given the Best International Women Cricketer award for the fifth time. This achievement reflects his consistently excellent play.

Domestic cricket players will also get respect

Players who have performed well in domestic cricket will also be honored in the Naman Awards ceremony. Mumbai’s young player Ira Jadhav and Haryana’s aggressive batsman Shefali Verma will be given awards for their excellent play. Apart from this, Ayush Mhatre and Harsh Dubey will be honored for their excellent all-round performance in domestic competitions. Mumbai Cricket Association will also be honored as the best performing cricket association for its consistently good performance in domestic cricket.

World winning Indian teams will also be honored

The most special moment of this ceremony will be when for the first time BCCI will honor all the Indian teams that have won ICC tournaments in recent years. This includes the Indian men’s team that won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and T20 World Cup 2026.

Along with this, the Indian women’s team that wins the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will also be honoured. Apart from this, Under-19 men’s and women’s teams will also be honored on the stage for their World Cup titles.
