Cricket: Kohli and Rohit behind in Test rankings
South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has reached the number 1 position in the Test rankings by overtaking India's experienced fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Rabada has advanced three places. He took nine wickets in the first test against Bangladesh. Bumhar has now slipped to third place. He did not get a single wicket in the Pune Test against New Zealand.
Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is in second place and Indian off-spinner is in fourth place. Australian captain Pat Cummins is in fifth place. Veteran Indian players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also withdrawn their names. Kohli has fallen seven places to 14th position. He flopped in the second test. He scored 18 runs in Pune. Rohit has lost nine places and has slipped to 24th position. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has also fallen five places to 11th position due to poor performance. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has moved up to third position with the gain of one rank. England's experienced batsman Joe Root remains at number one.
