Cricket passion gathered in Lucknow: 250 players showed their strength on the first day of U-19 trials

Lucknow, Read: The Under-19 selection trial was held on Saturday at the city’s Sports Galaxy Stadium. 250 players arrived on the first day of the trials being conducted under the supervision of Lucknow Cricket Association (LCA). LCA Joint Secretary Subhanshu Kumar Saheb said that the enthusiasm of the players was very encouraging. He said that many such players have also appeared in the trials who did not participate in the BBD League, but are trying to get selected on the basis of their talent.

He informed that 50 players have already been selected for the trial matches based on their performance in the BBD League and last year’s inter-district matches. Trial matches between these players will be played from Tuesday.

LCA has to submit the final list of the Under-19 team to Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) by March 25. Performance is being given priority in the selection process. Also, keeping in mind the examinations of the players, trials have been organized on Saturday and Sunday. Yusuf Ali, Musi Raza, Abhinav Dixit and Arun Sharma were present as selectors during the trials, who closely evaluated the performance of the players.
