Cricket: Players' 'Raisi' closed after defeat in Australia, will have to travel by team bus instead of luxurious car

Kolkata, Jan 19 (Language) The implementation of '10-point guidelines' for the Indian cricket team has started with the BCCI (Board of Cricket in India) informing the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) regarding the restrictions on visiting stadiums for practice. No separate vehicle was arranged for any player.

Strict instructions before India-England T-20

All the players and support members of the team traveled from the hotel to the stadium in the same bus. The Indian team is in Kolkata for the opening match of the T20 series against England at the Eden Gardens on January 22. After the embarrassing defeat in the Test series against New Zealand at home and Australia tour, the BCCI has issued 10-point guidelines.

No permission to leave practice

According to the guidelines, “All players must stay for the entire duration of the scheduled practice session and travel together to the venue. This rule ensures the commitment of the players and promotes a strong work ethic within the team.'' India's ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma has already expressed his objection to some provisions of this guideline. However, it is understood that BCCI has already implemented at least one of these 10 guidelines.

Arrangement of only one bus for Team India

The new guidelines were shared with all state cricket boards hosting India-England matches, including CAB. CAB President Snehasish Ganguly confirmed the new arrangement and expressed the union's commitment to follow the policies. “Keeping in mind BCCI's 10-point guidelines for players, the Bengal Cricket Association has not specifically made arrangements for any separate mode of transportation,” Snehasish said.

He said, “Only one team bus has been arranged for the Indian team. There will be no personal vehicles for cricketers. We have to follow the guidelines, which clearly state that all players are expected to travel with the team for practice sessions and matches. ,

Many players traveled by private vehicle

Due to this, some senior cricketers have traveled to the stadiums in private vehicles. Even on Australia tours, two big players used to travel separately with their families. For the first time after the implementation of the new rules, the Indian team reached Eden Gardens in the team bus. Head coach Gautam Gambhir was the first to alight from the bus, followed by his support staff and players, including captain Suryakumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
